Breakfast
But first - coffee.
Have a cosy breakfast from Monday to Saturday from 6.00 a.m. in our bakery Joast (04852 67931). Here you can smell the aroma of fresh coffee and pastries from 6.00 am. Add to that a boiled egg, juices, sweet or savoury treats on the deliciously fresh East Tyrolean bread - what more could you want? It's best to book a table in advance.
On Sundays, you can buy pastries, dairy products and juices from the Joast bakery and prepare a Sunday breakfast in the Zuegg Suite. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine. If you still want to have breakfast out, we recommend the City Café Glanzl (Hauptplatz 13, 9900 Lienz, 04852 62073) from 9.00 a.m.
La Taverna
Right in the centre of Lienz, La Taverna offers Italian cuisine, traditional East Tyrolean specialities and light summer salads. The Taverna is more than just a traditional restaurant. A feel-good place for special moments with a cosy ambience and warm wood panelling, open kitchen, competent service and expert wine advice.

Orangerie at the Grandhotel Lienz
Head chef Christian Flaschberger and his team will spoil you with national and international delicacies. Enjoy an à la carte menu with wine accompaniment from 150 different wines in a wonderful ambience directly on the Isel. Reservation required under: +43 4852 64070. Moarhof Stüberl
Excellent cuisine made from regional ingredients and an excellent selection of wines. Head chef Robert Lang attaches great importance to regional products, and every week there is a different national speciality. You can enjoy yourself not only on the terrace or in the beautiful parlour, but also at the bar (Pepos Bar) - with excellent drinks, wines and in winter by the crackling fireplace.

Im Stadl
Here, a young, competent team will spoil you with regional and international cuisine, accompanied by exquisite wines. Since 2020, the restaurant has been run by creative chef Werner Wibmer and award-winning sommelier Peter Knöbelreiter. Design elements by the artist Jos Pirkner, whose son owns the hotel.

Parkhotel Tristacher See
A byword for good cuisine in Lienz for decades. A second-generation family business that knows a lot about hospitality and quality. Cooking takes place daily at lunchtime and in the evening, with a choice of à la carte and various menus. The classics of Austrian cuisine are always on the menu, and the wine selection and advice are first-class.

Dolomitenhütte 1.620 m
Breathtaking views and down-to-earth food. You can drive to the Dolomitenhütte car park and reach the hut from there in just a few minutes. The Dolomitenhütte is also an ideal destination for an e-bike tour or bike tour.

Naturfreundehütte 1.850 m
This insider tip is located at 1,850 metres on the Zettersfeld, the sun terrace of Lienz. The Zettersfeld is a family ski area in winter and a hiking area in summer. By car you drive via Gaimberg to the Fasching-Alm car park. In just 30 minutes you reach the hut with the best Kaiserschmarrn!

Rose Lienz Hoagascht
You will find this gem just a few hundred metres from our house. Authentic, excellent home cooking is served here - it tastes just like at home with mum or grandma. The ambience is correspondingly down-to-earth and cosy. Also available to take away.
