The house was built around 1900 by the Zuegg family as a residence. Starting in 1950, it also housed a small grocery store and a bakery. Following a complete renovation and expansion in 2010, it gradually evolved into a modern boutique apartment building. Its location on Schweizergasse, just a few meters from the Isel glacial river, is ideal: Here you’ll find peace and relaxation, even though you’re staying right in the heart of Lienz. Since we’re constantly evolving and want only the best for our guests, starting in spring 2027, you’ll be able to book the Zuegg Suiten with breakfast, half-board, or full-board at our on-site restaurant. Apartments with meal plans can only be booked directly with us.

The district capital, Lienz, has a mediterranean vibe—lively yet relaxed—making it a dream destination for anyone who loves mountains, culture, and good food. With 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, the vacation region around Lienz is a place of natural vitality. The air is crisp, and at night you can still see the stars from the terraces and gardens of the Zuegg Suiten. The boutique apartments are centrally located, yet quiet enough that all you can hear is the murmur of the Isel River. Directly across from the vacation apartments is a bakery where you can enjoy breakfast daily or purchase pastries, dairy products, coffee, and juices. At the Zuegg Suiten, you can use these ingredients to prepare a cozy breakfast for yourself. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine, including coffee and a variety of teas.
