Every Friday from 1.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. and Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., the stalls of regional producers await you in the Upper Old Town - a true feast for the senses! In the concept store in Rosengasse, you will find these products alongside a careful selection of unique items from local craft businesses, kitchens and schnapps cellars in Osttirol. All of them are family businesses whose philosophy corresponds to that of the Schett family - products made from local raw materials of the highest quality. Schwarzer schnapps

During the town market on Friday and Saturday, a sign in Messinggasse 18 leads to a hidden backyard where the lovingly restored schnapps cellar of Rudi and Romana Schwarzer is located. They are the third generation to run it with passion. Rudi, the schnapps specialist, has received numerous awards for his exceptional brandies and creations. In addition to classic brandies, he offers a wide range of varieties and has also developed exquisite vermouth and red bitter - the Aperol of Osttirol.

Alte Schmiede

Rudl Duregger is an original in the Messinggasse in Lienz and is a major feature of the Lienz townscape. The Upper Old Town is characterised by a long tradition of craftsmanship that has been preserved to this day. Rudl has been running his blacksmith's shop in Messinggasse for almost 50 years, while his wife runs the neighbouring shop “Alte Schmiede”. This ensemble is one of the most photographed motifs in our district capital and is definitely worth a visit. Please note: The blacksmith's opening hours may vary, so plan your visit accordingly.

Wurzelstock

Shopping experience in the heart of the historic old town, where quality and regional origin take centre stage. Wurzelstock has been known for essential oils, handmade soaps, herbal salts and more since 2014. Everyone can find the right product in the neighbouring soap shop. A journey of discovery through the world of natural beauty and quality.

Looking for a unique, stylish souvenir from Osttirol? Barbara ‘bobs’ Schusteritsch creates customised high fashion. Her style combines sporty and urban elements to create an unmistakable bobs lifestyle - crazy, versatile and unique. Each piece of the limited collections for spring/summer and autumn/winter is handmade in her studio in Osttirol using certified EU materials. Barbara Schusteritsch attaches great importance to social responsibility and supports charity projects such as Time is Your Life.

In the shop adjacent to the workshop, visitors can choose from a wide range of vessels and decorative objects and browse to their heart's content.

Virgen farm shop

In the picturesque Virgen Valley, one farm shop stands out in particular and is a treasure trove of regional delicacies with over 100 suppliers. Led by an 85-year-old herb expert, young female farmers also present their products here. In addition to fresh food, there are handmade treasures and typical local decorative objects. The Villgratental valley in Osttirol offers fertile ground for traditional craftsmanship and innovation. The Mühlmann fashion label epitomises both. An interactive exhibition gives you an insight into the traditional South Tyrolean company Loacker, which has been producing the finest wafer specialities for almost 100 years. A hands-on confectionery, a great café and a children's playground make this excursion a memorable experience. You can buy all of Loacker's 200 specialities in the Loacker Store.
